Rozeta Dobi, known as the cleaner who stole hundreds of thousands of euros in one of the most sensational criminal events of 2023, was released from the women's prison in Pojska this Wednesday, after benefiting from a criminal amnesty.

Dobi was arrested in January 2023 for stealing 120 thousand euros, 30 thousand US dollars, and valuables from the apartment of former senior state official Alda Klosi, where she had worked as a cleaner for about five years.

During the investigation, police searched Rozeta Dobit's apartment, where they found and seized 404,000 euros, 8,500 US dollars, and a quantity of gold jewelry, hidden in the suction tube. Also seized were 58,150 euros, 7,000 dollars, 368,000 new lekë, and three vehicles, two of which were suspected to have been purchased with the money obtained from the theft.

The case received great public attention not only for the significant amounts of money found, but also for the subsequent investigations into their origin.

After serving part of her sentence, Rozeta Dobi regained her freedom today, leaving the Pojska prison cell as a beneficiary of criminal amnesty.
