A serious incident took place on Wednesday evening, where according to the police, a young man ended his life at the Kavaja Police Station.
According to the police, 31-year-old Ilvi Meta was escorted to the police station on Wednesday, while after a few hours, the young man ended his life with the tie of his shirt.
But his family does not trust the police version at all. Contacted by 'ABC', the victim's father, Agim Meta, said that he had learned of the serious incident when he went home and found the girl and the woman crying.
He stressed that the police variant is a lie, as Ilvi was a regular guy and had no problems with anyone.
Asked about his previous conviction, Agimi admitted it, but stressed that he was not convicted of theft, but after a quarrel at the "Besa Stadium" as Ilvi was a big fan of his heart team Besa of Kavaja.
According to Agim, after this quarrel, Ilvi was sentenced to 3 months in prison, but was released earlier.
Excerpts from the conversation:
Question: Mr. Agim, condolences for this heavy loss, I hope that the event will be clarified as soon as possible. Do you have any comments on what happened?
Agim Meta: My Ilvi was arrested from 10:30 because he knows what he is accused of, the young boy claimed for a better life. I was at work, working at the Kavaja mortgage, when I came home only when the news came out on television. I do not believe this, I never believe it, because the boy did not have any mental problems, he behaved very well, he worked in Greece, to make some money to live, when this happened the police do not explain. They do not give me details.
Question-What will be your steps to seek justice?
Agim Meta: I will leave nothing undone, my son does not think he has killed himself, society knows he was a regular boy, smiling, passionate about football, it was not problematic
Question-It is said that your son has been convicted and before, how true is it?
Agim Meta: Yes, he was sentenced to 3 months of imprisonment, they were busy in the stadium when Kavaja was in the Super League, he did not do the full 3 months, he was released.
