The fire situation in our country is at worrying levels.
One of the most problematic areas remains the Lura National Park, where the flames have continued to spread for two days, even in spruce forests that have never burned before. Over 220 forces have been engaged on the ground, including firefighters, police officers, the Armed Forces, Civil Emergencies and volunteers. The intervention is also being carried out from the air with two Air Tractor aircraft.
Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari has released footage from the operation in Lura, saying that the fight against the flames is continuing intensively, under extreme temperatures. He has appealed to the Police to identify and prosecute the perpetrators of deliberate arson.
The situation is also reported to be delicate in the peripheral areas of Tirana. The flames have spread to the hill between Priska and Farka. Firefighters are in the area, while helicopters are also intervening from the air.
However, at the moment, there is no direct danger to the residences.
In Dajt, the operation continues on the Qafë-Molla tunnels with forces on the ground and two helicopters.
The fire continues to be active in Drenie i Patos, while several fires have been identified in Krujë. In the Boje neighborhood, firefighters are positioned near homes, while a helicopter is intervening from the air.
There are also active outbreaks in Përmet, on Mount Nëmerçka and Mount Dhembelit. Meanwhile, the outbreak on Mount Morava in Devoll has been isolated and is being monitored.
