Details have been revealed about Altin Ndoc's escape this Tuesday from Durres hospital, while he was accompanied by several police officers.

One of the police officers who accompanied Ndoc from the Durrës detention center to the hospital was Fatjon Baci. He is the person who appears in the footage that has circulated from the moment of Ndoc's escape and is seen with a gun in his hand.

When Ndoci managed to escape from the police officers, Baci fired his service weapon into the air to scare him, but this was not enough to stop the fugitive.

Audi license plates stolen a few days ago

Security cameras show that he escaped in an "Audi A7" car, with license plate AA700RS, that was waiting for him in the hospital parking lot.

The license plates of the vehicle used for Ndoc's escape from Durres Hospital were reported stolen a few days ago.

The perpetrators who helped Ndoc escape seem to have planned the plan in detail, so that no one would suspect anything, since the model of the car whose license plates were stolen and the car used for the escape are the same, an "Audi A7."

The spectacular escape

Altin Ndoci, a well-known criminal figure accused of a number of serious criminal offenses, escaped from custody this Tuesday. The 39-year-old was taken to the hospital's infectious disease department after showing health problems.

"The detainee Altin Ndoci has been left from the premises of the Durrës Regional Hospital, where he was accompanied for medical visits. All medical procedures were carried out in the infectious diseases ward, which has a security ward for convicts. Despite the immediate intervention by the Prison Police forces to detain him, Altin Ndoci has managed to leave the hospital. The relevant structures were immediately put into motion and intensive work is being done to locate and capture him, as well as to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident," a preliminary statement from the Prisons Directorate states.

Ndoci is suspected of having escaped when he was left alone in a hospital room. It remains unclear how he managed to escape, given that at least five police officers were assigned to guard him.

Numerous police forces have been mobilized to capture him. Meanwhile, Ndoc's escape has led to the suspension of the entire chain of command of Durrës prison. So far, 10 officials have been reported suspended.

Who is Altin Ndoci?

Arrested and accused of several serious criminal offenses, most notably that of contract killing, Altin Ndoci was in a Durrës prison cell after the Special Prosecution's operation, "Golden Bullet", an operation divided into two phases. The first was in 2022, while the second phase was in 2024. In this case, five murders were solved and over 30 arrest warrants were issued.

Altin Ndoci is accused by the Special Prosecution Office of being part of the criminal organization led by the brothers Franc and Hajdar Çopja. The investigations into this organization were closed and the file was sent to trial in October 2025.

Altin Ndoci has been accused of several serious criminal events, including: The murder of the Haxhia brothers (Durrës, 2020); The murder of Dorjan Shkoza and Anxhelo Avdia (Durrës, 2020); The Bradashesh Massacre (Elbasan 2018; Execution of Andi Zylyfi, wounding of Ardit Uruçi). He has also been accused of illegal possession of weapons, drug trafficking and robbery.
