Over 1.5 million local and foreign citizens visited Albania's cultural

More than 1.5 million domestic and foreign citizens visited our cultural sites during 2025.

The figure was made public by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja, who compared this data with that of two years ago and found that the number of visitors to cultural sites has increased by 52% compared to 2023.

This growth is also reflected in revenue from ticket sales, an increase which is estimated to have reached 78% more revenue compared to 2023.

The Gjirokastra Castle continues to top the list of most visited sites for the seventh year in a row, with 307,164 visitors.

Other sites with a high number of visitors are:

Butrint National Park – 295,152 visitors

Gjergj Kastrioti Museum – 182,083 visitors

Shkodra Castle – 178,942 visitors.
