A protest was announced this Monday afternoon to raise voices against the increase in oil prices in the country.
However, about an hour after the official scheduled start time, there was no citizen presence in front of the Prime Minister's Office premises.
At the place where the protest was announced to be held, in front of the Prime Minister's Office, only a few citizens were seen, mainly activists of the "Albania Becomes" Movement, as well as media broadcast vehicles and police officers, who were on duty to follow developments.
This protest comes at a time when in recent days the price of oil in our country has reached up to 220 lek per liter, causing great dissatisfaction among citizens.
The price increase has also brought a reaction from the government, which has decided to reinstate the Fuel Transparency Board.
Civil society had called for a protest today in front of the Prime Minister's Office, at 5:00 PM, through announcements distributed on social networks.
The organizers appealed to citizens to participate en masse, with the aim of opposing high prices and demanding their reduction.
But apparently, they haven't felt the oil price increase yet!
