The government's decision to declare a special situation in the hydrocarbon market following the price hike following the war in the Middle East has officially entered into force.
The decision was signed by Prime Minister Edi Rama and companies have until March 24 to submit their representatives to the Minister responsible for the Economy as members of this board.
The board is expected to meet within this week to set ceiling prices for oil trading.
For 5 days, the retail price of oil in the country has not changed, despite fluctuations in the international stock market affected by the conflict in the Middle East.
Fuel companies have fixed prices at 214 lek and 217 lek since March 19.
Prime Minister Edi Rama announced on Saturday that excise duty will be reduced by 20% when the price exceeds 220 lek per liter.
