Journalist Osman Stafa has denounced the scandal at the Oncology Hospital, where, according to him, cancer patients have presented themselves to receive chemotherapy, but the doors of this hospital have been closed due to the holidays.
In a Facebook post, Stafa writes that patients have not been notified and that a normal healthcare system does not leave patients without service and information.
"Chemotherapy is not a procedure that is postponed according to the convenience of the system or official holidays. It is followed according to defined protocols, with precise intervals, because any delay can affect the patient's treatment," Stafa emphasizes in his post.
The journalist also adds in his post that this practice is unacceptable.

What happens to Oncology patients today?
The patient shows up at the hospital to undergo chemotherapy on the scheduled date and finds the hospital door closed.
Chemotherapy is not a procedure that is postponed according to the convenience of the system or official holidays. It is followed according to defined protocols, with precise intervals, because any delay can affect the patient's treatment.
Yes, staff is entitled to time off.
But a normal health system does not leave patients without service and information. Friday last week was off, Saturday and Sunday were off, Monday today as well. So a patient who was supposed to have chemo on Friday has lost 4 days today. Does cancer have these 4 days off?
In places where the system works, even when there are holidays, vital services are organized with reduced staff, but they are not interrupted and, above all, the patient is notified, they are not left to come in vain.
Here the opposite happens:
The patient is not notified when the service is not working, but is only notified when the medication is missing. This practice is unacceptable.
Not just as a health service, but as humane treatment.
Because at the end of the day, we're not talking about an ordinary queue. We're talking about people fighting for their lives. And this is a fight that knows no rest.
