The Tirana Court sentenced Mariela Berisha to 3 years in prison, a sentence which was reduced to 2 years due to the summary trial, while Antonela Berisha was given 3 years of probation, a sentence which was reduced to 2 years due to the summary trial.
The Berisha sisters were convicted of the violence inflicted on blogger Klea Prenga, an event that occurred in August 2024.
Mariela and Antonela Berisha were initially declared wanted, then turned themselves in to the police two months after the incident.
Klea Prenga was brutally beaten by the Berisha sisters while she was having dinner at a restaurant in the capital. She was hit with hard objects for trivial reasons.
