The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has condemned the arrest of lawyer Ulian Barjami , considering it a terror against many other lawyers to silence them.

From outside the SPAK premises, Berisha accused the head of the State Police, Ilir Proda, of being a gang member.

He stressed that he had thought that the lawyer might have reacted violently or lost control, but stated that, in his opinion, the footage refutes this claim.

Berisha: Since the dictatorship, they arrest the lawyer in Elbasan, why? Because he told the prosecutor he would file a criminal complaint. What an insult and threat this is. This bandit with Proda, who is a member of the gang, calls the lawyer and arrests him the next day. Tell me a little bit? Arresting the lawyer in this way is terrorizing many lawyers, making them shut up in the courtroom. What kind of justice is this? When I heard that, I thought that the lawyer had lost his temper and attacked the prosecutor. But when I saw what happened with the recordings, this is a shame, it is not justice, it never happens. Those who try to turn ugly crimes into a shield for justice, these are twice criminals.
