Residents of the village of Zvezdë in Maliq have expressed their shock over the event that happened yesterday, where a 50-year-old man was killed by his father after a family conflict. They state that the Bylykbashi family was a regular family and they were not aware of the conflicts.
Adriatik Lilo, head of the village, says that the 50-year-old who was killed with a hammer by his father, Hamdi Bylykbashi, had been drinking heavily recently and that he had gone through two separations. It was Lilo who called the ambulance, after being told that the victim had fallen headfirst against the wall in a drunken state.
" Very nice family. No one believed what happened. Working people, no words, regular family. The boy has had a couple of divorces, but it's nothing.
It's been 1 and a half or 2 years since he returned from Germany. He lived with his father. The drink had aggravated him, perhaps also the separation, away from the children.
I was at work when I got a call from a guy from the village who works with a car and they told me that they had called to take the guy to the hospital. The family had taken him and told him come on, we have the son, he fell on the wall with his head drunk and we want to take him to the hospital.
He had gone, he had seen blood all over the house and he had been told that I cannot put him in the car, call the ambulance. Take me on the phone to inform the ambulance that Shefki's son has hit his head on the wall and is very bad.
I call the ambulance, the ambulance comes and takes him, the hospital declared that he died. He was alive when the ambulance took him ," said the mayor of the village.
