Mefail Shkodra, who is accused of the triple murder in Gjilan and who has previously been convicted of usury, did not hesitate to show off his luxurious life on social networks.

On his Instagram profile, Shkodra has shared photos with cars like the Range Rover and BMW X5.

Also, in his posts, he sides with senior politicians in Kosovo, including President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla, the Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, or the President of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj.

Shkodra appeared proud of his achievements, and this is shown by statuses such as "if you stop every time a dog barks, you will never finish your journey" or "strong people rarely have an easy past."

In June of last year, he was arrested along with his son, on suspicion of lending money at interest and then threatening and blackmailing the victims.

"The arrested persons are suspected of having exerted pressure and threats against the victim in this case with the aim of obtaining interest from the usury activity and as a result of the illegal actions, the suspects have caused material damage to the victim in the amount of over 600,000 euros ," said the announcement of 21.06.2024 by the Kosovo Police, which also published the video of the arrest a year ago, where Shkodra was caught in the apartment, where thousands of euros and firearms were found.

After four months of detention, he was released in October 2024.

Mefail Shkodra is accused of being the author of the murder of three people this afternoon in Gjilan.

After an exchange of gunfire, he allegedly left one man dead, along with his son and son-in-law, while injuring another.

Usury is suspected to have caused the collision, however investigations into the incident are ongoing.
