In a video message published this Sunday morning, Prime Minister Edi Rama warned that there will be changes, as happened with municipalities, in the territorial control structures, starting with the IKMT and the municipal police.

"Just as there has been an escalation of the wave of movements with leaders in the municipalities of large cities where there is a need for a shake-up to move to another level, there will be an extension of this wave to the territorial control structures, starting from the IMTs to the municipal police and the urban planning and development structures," said Rama.

He added: "The Prime Minister is here to 'shake' even the directors who don't do their job, right?"

Reading the comment of a citizen who wrote about why lawbreakers, or even the leaders and responsible persons who were supposed to inspect illegal constructions, are not put in prison, Rama responded: "Prison is an address where prisoners are sent with evidence and facts and are sent by justice, not by Facebook and the government. To be very clear."

Earlier, during his speech, Prime Minister Rama also announced that a national regulation is being prepared that will clearly define the boundaries between private interest and public space. Rama emphasized that the actions do not constitute an attack on entrepreneurship, but are part of a national process to establish clear and fair rules for all.
