Albania will host for the first time in its history the General Assembly of the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE), the largest international event of the veterinary profession on the European continent.
The news was announced by the president of the Order of Veterinary Doctors Ervin Resuli through a post on Facebook.
Resuli announces that with the support of the President of FVE, Mr. Siegfried Moder, the official request for the organization of this forum has been filed with the FVE Board.
FVE, which includes 43 member countries and one observer country, brings together the most important professionals in veterinary science at European and global level.
All of its main sections: UEVP, UEVH, EASVO and EVERI, as well as the American and Canadian Veterinary Associations and other international partners, will participate in this event. The World Veterinarians' Organization (WVA) will also be represented.
This decision marks a historic moment for Albania, which for the first time becomes the host country of this prestigious international forum, positioning the country at the center of attention of the veterinary world and enhancing its reputation in the field of veterinary science, food safety and public health.
2028 is expected to be the "Golden Year of Albanian Veterinary Medicine", as the activity also coincides with the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Veterinary Medicine in Albania, a century of scientific dedication, professional development and contribution to animal welfare and community health.
