Homage to the man who shaped Albania's infrastructure, Rahman Hanku

A commemorative event was held in the Conference Hall of Tirana International Hotel on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Rahman Hanku, one of the most prominent construction personalities in Albania.

Hank was the main leader of the construction of almost all hydroelectric power plants and many large industrial works in the country from 1945 to the mid-1980s.

This event was attended by former construction sector executives, engineers, architects, colleagues and family members, who in their words praised Hank's 40-year contribution to the design and management of hydraulic works, the chemical industry, railways and many other major works that marked the industrial development of Albania.

During the event, a documentary film was also shown, which reflected the life and activities of Rahman Hanku, from his youth and participation in the Anti-Fascist War, to directing the construction of some of the most important national projects, qualifying him as one of the most successful construction ministers in the country.

On behalf of the Dibrani Community Association, Rahman Hank's daughter was presented with the title "Nobility of the Dibrani Community in Tirana", with the motivation: "In appreciation of Rahman Hank's contribution as a prominent personality in the field of construction and a prominent representative of the Dibrani community in Tirana."

The event concluded with a cocktail for those present, as a sign of gratitude and respect for the figure and legacy of Rahman Hank.
