A day after the protest of residents of three villages in the Korça area about the impossibility of transportation and movement as a result of the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë axis and the lack of an infrastructural artery to connect them, the Police have criminally prosecuted 8 of them.

Even though the protest was peaceful, where residents appealed for the Municipality authorities to go there and provide them with solutions, they did not escape prosecution.

This is because many of them blocked the road and prevented drivers from moving normally. The residents prosecuted are from the villages of Dunicë and Trebinje.

They are demanding the construction of a road that not only connects them to the main axis, but also takes them to their lands to work, but the passage of the new national road is preventing them.

"The services of the Pogradec Police Commissariat referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizens AA, 46 years old, KH, 25 years old, LH, 39 years old, GH, 58 years old, DH, 60 years old, AH, 35 years old, AH, 33 years old, OS, 41 years old, residents of the villages of Dunicë and Trebinje, after yesterday, during a protest, on the "Qukës-Qafë Pllocë" road axis, in the village of Kalivaç, they attempted to block the road to prevent the passage of vehicles," the local police announced.

Criminal proceedings have begun against them while they are at large and it will be the Prosecution that will determine further steps.
