After a period of almost nine months in silence, former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj is expected to return from exile in a television interview.
Journalist Çim Peka has announced that the next interview with Ahmetaj will be broadcast on September 7th and that, according to him, it will also contain new material, including audio recordings and documents.
Peka made the announcement through a post on social media, where he appears in a photo with the former number two in the government.
"Done. Get ready for September 7th. Audio recordings, documents, everything!" Peka wrote in his post.
Arben Ahmetaj's last interview was given in January of this year, where he spoke, among other things, about businessman Ergys Agasi, who was arrested today by order of SPAK in Elbasan.
Ahmetaj has been wanted by SPAK since July 2023. He has left Albania and is in Switzerland, where he has also initiated procedures to seek political asylum.
SPAK has seized several of Ahmetaj's assets, including villas, apartments and bank accounts.
