The Tirana Court has ordered the security measure of "prison arrest" for 40-year-old Ngushëlim Manzi, suspected of the murder of two brothers Selam and Nazmi Islamaj and the injury of their brother, Shefqet Islamaj, in Kamëz.

During his testimony to the police, Manzi expressed remorse for the incident. However, he did not give a statement in court due to his severe psychological condition, presenting his version of the incident through his lawyer.

According to the defense's claims, the conflict began after the three Islamaj brothers raped Manzi, his sister, and his mother, hitting them with hard objects and crowbars.

The 40-year-old claims that, after this clash, he took the gun and shot at the Islamaj brothers, under conditions of severe psychological shock.

The serious incident occurred on October 19 in the Bathore area, in Kamëz. As a result of the gunfire, Selam and Nazmi Islamaj lost their lives, while their brother, Shefqet Islamaj, was injured.

The full circumstances of the conflict and the parties' claims remain to be clarified following the investigation.
