Erion Veliaj's lawyer, Plarent Ndreca, has provided details after meeting with the mayor of Tirana, who has been transferred to the hospital sector of Fier prison due to a fractured leg and the need for medical treatment.

Through a statement after the meeting, provided by Top Channel journalist Anila Hoxha, Ndreca raised concerns about the failure to carry out the required examination to assess the progress of Veliaj's leg recovery, while announcing that the mayor of Tirana has written the responses he has communicated to the Minister of Justice regarding the requests made to him.

"Erioni has been transferred to the hospital facilities of Fier Prison, due to a broken leg, which still requires recovery and medical treatment.

Meanwhile, it has been almost two weeks since we officially requested the necessary examination to assess the progress of the fracture consolidation.

To date, this examination has not been carried out, despite the requests and instructions of the doctor who is following his recovery.

"Erioni handed me several pages torn from his personal diary, where he wrote the answers he communicated to the Minister of Justice regarding the requests made to him. We will make these answers public," Ndreca declared.

The Mayor of Tirana is in Fier prison, where he has been transferred to the institution's hospital sector to continue treatment and recovery from a fractured leg.
