Sentenced to 9 years for gang rape, former Milan striker Robinho must go behind bars. The Italian Ministry of Justice requests from Brazil the extradition of the former Selecao national team player, one of the greatest talents of recent decades.

The decision against Robinho is final after he was found guilty of raping a 23-year-old Albanian woman on the night of January 22, 2013 in a pub in Milan. Robinho and his friend, Ricardo Falco, have been declared internationally wanted for this crime, while it is known that both are in Brazil.

The 38-year-old played for 4 seasons with Milan's jersey in the years 2010-2014, while it will be very difficult to extradite him as Brazilian justice does not foresee such a thing for its own citizens.

According to the prosecution, Robinho got the victim drunk to the point where she was in a serious condition and then gang-raped her in the wardrobe of a nightclub. The prosecution states in the report that the perpetrators despised the victim so much that they shamed him.

Santos' team where he returned to play terminated his contract soon after the details of the ugly incident were published.
