The footballer is sentenced to death for supporting women!

Iranian professional footballer Amir Nasser Azadani, 26, is facing the death penalty for taking part in protests to support women who have been demonstrating in his country for nearly three months over the death of Mahsa Amini, 22, who was killed by police.

" We are shocked and appalled by the news that professional footballer Amir Nasser Azadani is facing execution in Iran after campaigning for women's rights and basic freedoms in his country.

We stand in solidarity with Amir and call for the immediate cancellation of the sentence ", the announcement of the largest football players' association states.
