The Albanian Football Federation is working to return Taulant Xhaka to the team. In November 2021, the 32-year-old midfielder finished with the Reds and Blacks after a conflict with the former coach, while the Basel captain is seen as important for Euro 2024 qualification.

When about two years have passed, there is an attempt from Albania to bring him back to the National Team, as he is seen as a very valuable element in the midfield department. It was the Swiss media '4-4-2.ch' that reported that the AFL is trying to convince Xhaka to return to Albania and help the Reds and Blacks qualify for Euro 2024.

According to information from Switzerland, the belief has grown within the AFL that Xhaka has been an important part of the team in the past and that he would use his experience to make the big step towards the European Championship.
