A sensational news has shocked France and Real Madrid with Kylian Mbappe being accused of rape in Sweden .
Swedish newspaper Expressen reports that Mbappe is being investigated for rape, following a visit by the Real Madrid star to Stockholm, with the Frenchman denouncing it as " fake news ".
After newspaper Aftonbladet reported that a suspected rape had been reported to the police but did not say who was accused, newspaper Expressen revealed that 25-year-old Mbappe was the suspect.
"According to information received by Expressen, the police are investigating the star who is reasonably suspected of rape and sexual assault," the newspaper wrote.
Swedish law enforcement distinguishes the level of suspicion as reasonable or probable, with reasonable being the lowest degree of suspicion.
Contacted by Agence France-Presse (AFP), Mbappe's camp said it had no knowledge of a legal complaint against him.
The French striker, who was not selected for the final round of Nations League matches, visited the Swedish capital with a group of friends on October 10.
They had dinner at a restaurant before going to a night club. Mbappe and the group left Sweden on Friday.
In a post on X, Mbappe claimed the news was fake and comes "coincidentally" just days before he takes his former club PSG to court over unpaid debts of €55m.

" FAKE NEWS!!!!. It is becoming so predictable, on the eve of the hearing, as if by chance ," Mbappé posted.
