The Albanian Football Federation (AFF) has suspended all legal relations with the KOKSH (Albanian National Olympic Committee). The AFF has sought the support of its members and all have approved this point in the developments of the Ordinary General Assembly of the AFF that took place on Wednesday in Tirana. The AFF demands that the CAS decision in Lausanne be implemented, a decision that declared the Assembly of the KOKSH in 2021, from which Fidel Ylli won as president, be invalid.

The Albanian Football Federation took the issue of the 2021 elections in the KOKSH, where Fidel Ylli was elected president, to court. Everything ended in the CAS of Lausanne and the AFF was found right, as the CAS annulled the decision of the KOKSH Assembly.

Envi Hicka, a member of the Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Association (AFHA), explained that such a decision has not been implemented and thus the AFHA has asked for support from members by adding a point to the statute, this for support in the legal "war" with the Albanian Football Association (KOKSH).

'1. To consent to the indefinite suspension of all legal relations with the NOC, until the moment when the state of legality is restored, the CAS decision of Lausanne is fully implemented and the NOC acts in accordance with its statute and international norms of self-governance in sports.  

2. To support the Executive Committee, the Secretariat of the AFF in all legal and public efforts to establish the state of legality within the KOKSH and the cessation of the arbitrary climate in which this organization carries out its activity.

All members of the Albanian Football Association present voted on the two points that were included in the statute.  

"The Albanian Football Federation is in a legal conflict with the Albanian National Olympic Committee (KOKSH). A conflict that arises because the Albanian Football Federation is obliged to be a member of this organization due to the law and how the KOKSH operates. We have chosen the legal path, since 2021 when several Assemblies of the KOKSH were held, which in our judgment were held in an arbitrary and undemocratic manner, not guaranteeing the worthy representation of the members.

One of the legal battles ended at the CAS in Lausanne, the internationally recognized arbitration. We won at CAS and have been waiting for a year and a half for the decision to be implemented, to annul the decisions of the NOC Assembly in 2021. Under normal conditions, NOC should have implemented this CAS decision. We have encountered environmental, legal and institutional resistance; and an ignoring of the CAS in Lausanne.

This was not done only for the activity of the NAC, but also by finding support that does not do honor to a democratic society, influenced by state institutions, I'm sorry to say.

In the conditions where we continue to have an undemocratic, non-institutional sports environment, we are forced to ask the General Assembly for support and have proposed this decision.

To support the Executive Committee, the AFF Secretariat in all legal and public efforts to establish the state of legality within the KOKSH and the cessation of the arbitrary climate in which this organization conducts its activities,'" it is stated in the two points that were added to the AFF statute and that were explained by Envi Hicka.
