Prime Minister Edi Rama hosted a delegation from the United States Congress (US CODEL) in the garden of the Prime Minister's Office, which was also attended by the American Ambassador to Tirana, Eric Wendt.

Rama shared footage from the meeting on social media.

Earlier, the delegation of the US House of Representatives, led by Congressman Vern Buchanan, chairman of the Committee on Partnership for Democracy, was received by the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi.

The meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament discussed the further strengthening of the Albania-US strategic partnership, cooperation in addressing security challenges and maintaining a stable and secure region.

Another focus was accelerating Albania's journey towards the European Union, appreciating the importance of reforms and strengthening democratic institutions in this process.

The parties also discussed expanding economic cooperation and business relations, with the aim of creating more opportunities for investment and partnerships between Albania and the US.
