Zegjine Çaushi clarifies public opinion in Fier, says she was not a guard

Socialist MP Zegjine Çaushi has reacted after the publication of news that she worked at the Illyrian Guard company before joining the Parliament.

She addresses the explanation to the citizens of the Fier district, who elected her as an MP, saying that the position she held in the Illyrian Guard was "legal".

Full reaction:

Dear citizens of Fier District,
I feel obliged to react to you.
With all the great respect I have for the media and journalists, I ask you to exercise your profession within the limits of accurate information and prior verification. Our citizens deserve to be informed correctly, not misinformed.
Public clarification:
First, anyone is free to make news, but not by distorting the facts.
My job positions, over the years, have been:
1. Civil Emergencies Specialist
2. Chief Inspector of IVMT
3. Lawyer at the company “BA2” shpk (different from what is presented in the media)
4. Lawyer at the company “Illyrian Guard” (From May 16, 2024 to March 25, 2025, different from what is presented in the media)
As for my income, it is all officially declared (with bank transactions), accompanied by the relevant documentation at the relevant institutions.
As for my dismissal from the "Illyrian Guard", I would like to clarify that the dismissal took place on March 25, 2025, contrary to what was presented in the media.
Citizens deserve accurate information, and I will continue to be transparent at every step.
