113th Anniversary of Independence / The Embassy of Albania in Slovakia organizes

The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Slovakia celebrated the National Holiday, the 113th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, in a major diplomatic and cultural event, in the Main Hall of the Primate Palace in the center of Bratislava.

The event was attended by representatives of the Slovak government, including the Secretary of State at the Ministry for Investments, Regional Development and Informatization Radoslav Stefanek, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for European Affairs Jan Ferenčak, members of the Slovak Parliament, Ambassadors, diplomats, academics, representatives of the Slovak media and cultural institutions, as well as representatives of the Albanian community residing in Slovakia and Austria.

After the performance of the national anthems, those present were greeted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Slovakia, Mr. Arten Hanku, and then on behalf of the Slovak government by the Secretary of State, Mr. Radoslav Stefanek.

After the screening of a promotional video collage for Albanian tourism and the organization of the 6th EPC (European Political Committee) Summit in Tirana in May of this year, the attendees had the pleasure of attending an artistic program with the participation of two professional Albanian artists, mezzo-soprano Flaka Goranci from Vienna and pianist Almira Emiri from Berlin, who, with their virtuoso performance in the masterful interpretation of Albanian and classical pieces, were applauded with ovations by the attendees. At the end of the activity, the guests had the opportunity to taste the specialties of Albanian cuisine, in a Reception-Buffet prepared by the well-known Albanian-owned Restaurant, "Narbon" in Bratislava.
