Former Democratic Party MP Ervin Salianji, while commenting on Prime Minister Edi Rama's refusal to dismiss Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, who was suspended from her positions by a decision of the GJKKO, stated that Balluku and Rama should have resigned.

According to Salianj, politics must have moral standards and when it comes to high-ranking officials in power, resignation is the first step that should be taken.

He further emphasized that Rama himself has stated that if someone has a problem with justice, the SP cannot become their shield or advocate, but in Balluk's case, things have changed, and according to the former MP, the government is preventing her suspension from office.

Salianji stated that Balluku has stolen 50 million euros, while Albanians are counting their "bread and butter".

"We are in a business where there are 50 million euros. A haggler told me one day, 'how many loaves of bread can be bought with 50 million euros'. People count the loaves, while here within an hour 50 million euros are spent and tenders are determined," he said.

"We are dealing with an issue related to Balluk. What politics has to do in this case is a moral standard, that in such cases in power, a high-level official, minister, imagined the deputy prime minister, resigns. If this does not happen, the other standard is immediate dismissal, you have seen how it works all over the world. For a rumor, the deputy prime minister of Albania resigned and set fire to the parliament Edi Rama on January 21, the court came out 5:0 that it was not so. Ministers have been dismissed within the hour for various cases. We have the broken standard of a government that has no morals, and that will not care about institutional balance or the citizens.

The distortion of vote-buying with criminal groups, buying, threatening, goes all the way to the cell, and now Edi Rama doesn't care what people think about Balluku. If there was to be normal governance, Edi Rama would have to resign.

We are in a business that is worth 50 million euros. A shopkeeper told me one day, how much bread can be bought with 50 million euros. People count the bread, while here within an hour 50 million euros are spent and tenders are determined. There is another element, the essence is that we have robbed several institutions to get the best offer, while in this case, it is proven, millions of euros have been created and spent on procurement administration, millions are spent on administration.

We spent millions of euros on commissions to control tenders, for the best offer, which turned out not to work. Now we throw these millions in the trash and take and waste a few more millions because the government is determining the winner. We don't know how much the corruption tax is.

There is another standard that the Prime Minister has set. He has come out and said 'if someone has work, processes with the justice system, the Socialist Party cannot become their shield and lawyer, the shield will be their personal lawyer'. What happened in this case? There is no resignation of Balluk, there is no dismissal and on the other hand, there is an activation to hinder a procedure that is the suspension", Salianji.
