The Srebrenica resolution has today become the subject of debate and accusations between the majority and the opposition.
During his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj "Tiger" as they call him, came to the defense of Taulant Balla's statement, while accusing the opposition that during the time when Berisha was in charge, Albania broke the embargo and supplied arms and fuel to Serbia.
"We are discussing a more important issue, but I hear that the opposition MPs are looking for a reason to talk and find a pretext. Mr. Balla did not say any insulting words to anyone. But he referred to an event, a fact that is in the documents of the United Nations. At that time, Albania was considered the country that broke the embargo. 1.7 million tons of oil were exported from Albania. In 1994 alone, there were 4.2 mln excise duty. Realize what you have done to Milosevic's war machine. Breaking the embargo and helping the war is not a crime? If there is something missing from the resolution, let's add it, but you said to rise above the parties," said Ahmetaj.
Meanwhile, DP MP Luciano Boçi said that the majority came to power in 2013 with the blessing of Boris Tadic.
"According to the regulation, Mr. Balla should not speak at all, as he should have been registered. Since you continue to speculate as the previous speaker did, with oil smuggling, I am answering you with a counterfactual. This majority came to power with the blessing of Boris Tadić, the son of a real doctoral student," Boçi said.
