Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the tense situation in the north of Kosovo following the massive departure of Serbs from Kosovo's institutions and the resignation of the mayors of Serbian municipalities and the exit of the Serbian List deputies from the Assembly.
In a post on Twitter, Rama writes that he fully supports the basic idea of the Franco-German plan for restraint and dialogue and the positions of the US-EU.
According to the head of the Albanian government, the Kosovo authorities have the right to have reservations for the Association of Serbian Municipalities, but the created situation can only be resolved through dialogue.
"We are following with great attention and real concern the aggravated situation in Kosovo and join the positions of our strategic allies USA & EU. While we fully support the basic idea of the Franco-German Plan, we call for restraint and DIALOGUE Kosovo-Serbia.
The Kosovo authorities are within their right to have reservations for the Association of Serbian Municipalities and I understand that! But I also understand the allies when they ask for this by "force"! That's why we need to look for a TIRED DIALOGUE with Serbia in order not to lose allies!" writes Rama.
