Parliament Speaker Elisa Spiropali, at the joint meeting between the Parliaments of Kosovo and Albania, held in Pristina, commented on the dialogue with Serbia.
She stated that the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade should result in mutual recognition between the two countries.
"Without mutual and final recognition, without courageously emerging from the artificial labyrinths created by the interests of the day, but also of the vote, this edge of Europe will always be a headache for its inhabitants," Spiropali emphasized.
The Speaker of Parliament added that, " the specific challenges that Kosovo faces are understandable and are at the same time our challenges that stem from natural law and our Constitution ."
Elisa Spiropali: The specific challenges that Kosovo faces are understandable and are at the same time our challenges that stem from natural law and our Constitution. The Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, in full coordination with our common strategic partners, the US and the EU, must necessarily have as its final result the signing of a legally binding agreement that enables mutual recognition between the two countries, Kosovo's membership in the UN and the EU, as well as the treatment of minorities in accordance with the Constitution. Without mutual and final recognition, without courageously exiting the artificial labyrinths that are created by the interests of the day, but also of the vote, this edge of Europe will always be a headache for its inhabitants. We have the unwavering conviction that Kosovo will conclude this process as a state with a Euro-Atlantic vision, as a strategic partner.
