A meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania is currently taking place.
The Government meeting is out of order, to make changes to the budget.
1.4 billion lek goes to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and 500 million lek to the Central Election Commission.
The money that will be allocated to the CEC will serve to cover the cost of voting from abroad, but also for returning the envelope.
So the government is committed to covering 100% of the expenses for diaspora voting, both for sending the ballot and for returning the envelope.
It is also learned that the meeting is also discussing the normative act for the remuneration of pensioners in the spring.
We remind you that in addition to the New Year bonus for pensioners, the Government has also foreseen another bonus for pensioners in the spring, before the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025.
Meanwhile, there is no information whether the Government meeting is being led by Prime Minister Edi Rama or Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
