Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, said in parliament that a private company manages the sensitive data of millions of Albanians.

He demanded that the Draft Law " On the Protection of Personal Data " be approved, while the opposition expressed that they want the data of Albanians not to be protected.

According to him, this draft law is important for Albania's integration into the EU.

Ulsi Manja: A private company that manages the sensitive personal data of millions of Albanians, if it violates the provisions of this law, the commissioner has the right to punish it with a fine of up to 10 million euros, including the state as the owner of these personal data. What do you mean, you want this law not to be approved? If you want this law not to be approved, you are not only against negotiations with the EU, but I am saying openly that you want the data of Albanian citizens not to be protected.
