The election campaign for the 2023 local elections officially starts today

1 month before the 2023 local elections, today, April 14, the election campaign officially starts.

Although the political parties have started their meetings with supporters, now the candidates for mayors will have the numbers they will mention in public appearances to campaign.

The day before, the CEC drew lots and the parties learned their ranking on the ballot and the number of mayoral candidates they will campaign with.

In the municipality of Tirana, the mayor Erion Veliaj will hold the number 4. After him, the fifth, on the ballot is Belind Këlliçi of the Berisha-Meta Coalition, while the 6th is Roland Bejko of the official PD. Number 1 will be held by the candidate of the Joint Movement, Arlind Qorri. The second on the ballot is the communist candidate Marko Dajti, who entered the election with the signature of Flamur Noka, while the 3rd is Lajla Përnaska from the PDIU.

In the list for municipal councils, Shorti ranked the Meta-Berisha Coalition first, the SP ranks second, while among the 40 parties on this list, Enkeleid Alibeaj's official Democratic Party will hold number 9, the same number that identified it in the general parliamentary elections of two years ago.
