The Deputy of the Democratic Party, Ina Zhupa, has denounced in a statement to the media, she has denounced the abuse of state funds in the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, in the awarding of grants for start-ups. Zhupa says that the son of the director of ADF, Dritan Agollit, "has benefited 40 million lek for his start-up".
"Flladi Agolli, the son of Dritan Agolli, director of the Albanian Development Fund, has received 40 million ALL for his start-up. Some time ago, Dritan Agolli was denounced for rewarding his son with 500 million lek, declaring him the winner for a cookbook, the chef of his restaurant", Zhupa emphasizes.
DP statement:
The Minister of Entrepreneurship, Edona Bilali, deserves the ministry they have given her, because she really takes on a lot. He made the first innovation in entrepreneurship when he announced his boss, Edi Rama, Zeus, that is, the all-powerful god in Greek mythology.
He did the second one recently by distributing millions of state lek in grants to his company and party members according to the investigation of the PIRANJA show. Dismayed by the law and without blushing from shame, the minister has given two grants worth 88 million ALL to two organizations that are part of the network of the Albanian-American Foundation for Development.
Edona Bilali and the two heads of AADF, Mata and Sarapuli, have not seen the conflict of interest in the fact that they are both members of the board of the center that receives grants and at the same time have members of AADF in the commission that gives the grants. This open conflict of interest, which the organizations themselves make and give themselves the money, looks like a typical Balkan scam.
As a reminder to the public, the Albanian American Foundation for Development has been at the center of the debate recently about the Butrint concession. This has been the great concern that I, as a deputy, and the Democratic Party have repeatedly raised regarding this case. Isn't a national and international asset like Butrint used for blatant personal and private interests, diverting funds and damaging heritage?!
Part of the answer is provided by the involvement of the two heads of the AADF in a pure profit scheme despite open conflicts of interest.
Also, Bilali gave a grant of 50 million lek to Kamela Hasko, an auditor who was apparently Edona's collaborator when she ran a consulting company. Hasko together with her husband manage the audit office "AKH consulting" which is far from being innovative, youthful or technological.
Such evidence from the Ministry of Entrepreneurship is seen by young Albanians, who undertake to leave Albania and set sail for the seas of Europe. Such proofs are too much to understand that Albania is in danger and that we must overcome it. All together!
