In a long note on social networks, the head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated that the dangerous scenario in the north of Kosovo has as its main architect Aleksandr Vucic, the president of Serbia.
Berisha calls on the EU and the USA to condemn the destabilizing scenario in the north of Kosovo, by which, according to the chief democrat, Vucic seeks to fail without starting negotiations on the latest Franco-German proposal.
Likewise, according to the chief democrat, balkanization of international diplomacy is not the solution.
"Balkanization of international diplomacy is not the solution!
Dear friends, for several days in the north of Kosovo armed Serbian gangs, but also Wagner's mercenaries, have blocked the roads and border crossings with barricades, openly violating the law and order of a free and independent country. This whole dangerous and destabilizing scenario has Aleksandër Vucic as the main architect. This scenario is realized at a time when the two main EU countries, France and Germany, supported by the US, have presented a plan for an agreement, probably the most important to date, between Kosovo and Serbia. No one but Belgrade and the Kremlin can be interested in such developments and benefit from them more than they do.
But what is unprecedented is the non-condemnation, even some justification with silence of the developments in the north of Kosovo by the international factor, including the EU and US delegates for the talks between Kosovo and Serbia. I am recalling here the unprincipled silence regarding the bomb attack against Prishtina's journalists and television crews in Rudar, the wounding of the policeman by armed gangs in the north, etc.
Creating the idea of indifference to the actions of armed Serbian bandits and criminals who block the roads, attack the police with firearms and throw grenades at the media, expresses in this very subtle case the balkanization of international diplomacy, a not small mistake with consequences multifaceted, from which only armed gangs benefit and the architect of the destabilizing scenario, Aleksandër Vucic, who this time is using them in order to secure the serious Franco-German proposal. No agreement, no progress can be achieved by supporting or understanding the illegal acts of armed gangs and their criminal actions that violate law and order. Tolerating them opens a very dangerous spiral, undermines the climate of agreement talks,
Condemning with the greatest force the criminal activity of the Serbian armed gangs in the north of Kosovo orchestrated by the Serb leader Vucic and strongly supporting the right of the Kosovo government to establish territorial integrity throughout the country, I call on the European Union and the USA to condemn Belgrade's destabilizing scenario in the north of Kosovo, with which President Vucic seeks to fail without starting negotiations on the latest Franco-German proposal for an agreement between the two countries. I also call on KFOR to fulfill all its obligations to put an end to this situation created and orchestrated by Belgrade.
Finally, I add that regardless of Belgrade's threats and attempts at destabilization, Kosovo's security is undoubtedly guaranteed by NATO. Therefore, I call on the Kosovo authorities, which in the interest of establishing dialogue, have demonstrated flexibility and high responsibility in their positions, to continue to provide all possible help and not allow the spiral of violence to replace dialogue and the perspective of the important agreement, not only for Kosovo, but also for our region", writes Berisha.
