Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has denounced that Prime Minister Edi Rama dismissed the head of SHISH, Helidon Bendo after his education in the USA, not allowing him to resume his duties.

During the conference with journalists, Berisha said that he has his reservations regarding Helidon Bendo, but condemned the "bandit act" of the head of the government, as he considered it.

Berisha further added that if Edi Rama considers him a spy of the Americans, French or Germans, he should make it transparent to the Albanians, because as long as Helidon Bendo has performed that duty, he has led a constitutional institution.

The democratic leader stated that Oljan Kanushi, who has been appointed director of SHISH, has taken the service as a blind militant and was not even an informer and that the head of the government has forbidden him to communicate with partners.

"I inform the Albanians that in flagrant violation of the country's Constitution, in an unprecedented mafia act, the head of the information service, appointed in accordance with the country's Constitution by the President of the Republic, sent for education in the USA, after returning from education in opposition by law, the doors of the service are closed and he is not allowed to assume the office, without any act, without any decision, of the one who is supposed to be the head of state, and who protects the signature of the institution.
The head of the national information service, proposed by the prime minister, but he is appointed by the president, and by law, he reports to both of them. This is a shameful act, which proves that there is no state here, but there is only one person who does not know the law, the Constitution and principle, and this is Edi Rama.

You can get my statements about Bendon, I have not expressed any special consideration, on the contrary I have expressed all my reservations. But can an act of banditry be accepted, an act of banditry? If Edi Rama considers him a spy for the Americans, the French or the Germans, he should be transparent before the Albanians, because as long as Helidon Bendo has performed that duty, he has been running a constitutional institution. It is a constitutional designation. He is appointed by the head of state and no one has the right, without the written consent of the head of state, to either suspend or dismiss him.
These are acts of banditry, shameful acts. I punish with the greatest severity.
