The American Embassy in Tirana organized on Wednesday evening the screening of a special documentary commemorating the history of the relationship between the two countries on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Albania and the United States.
Among the guests were current and former officials, politicians, academics, entrepreneurs, religious representatives, military, media, civil society and youth. In the album distributed by the American embassy on social networks, it seems that Prime Minister Edi Rama was not at the meeting. The latter had strong arguments (not directly) with Ambassador Kim about the election of the new head of SPAK. Meanwhile, the presence of the chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, as a supporter of Basha, Jorida Tabaku, stood out. But none of the Reestablishment MPs.
American Ambassador Yuri Kim stood by the Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla during the screening of the documentary.
"I hope you will be convinced even more that the connection between our countries is special, strong and will last." It is a bond that transcends any government, leader or person. It is a bond between two peoples with a common belief in freedom, democracy, prosperity and justice. It is a bond that cannot be broken", says Ambassador Yuri Kim in the documentary, who stood by the Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, during the screening of the documentary.
