For almost four hours, the meeting of the Council of Mandates has been going on for the removal or not of the mandate of deputy Arben Ahmetaj.

After SPAK prosecutors, who submitted their 11-page request to the Council, asking them to pave the way for the arrest of Ahmetaj, the defense lawyers took the floor.

He Ardian Visha and Henrik Ligori have requested the postponement of the session for the next day. According to them, the defense needs more time to prepare their arguments.

So, it is the members of the opposition in this Council who have insisted that the meeting end today.

A few moments ago, the lawyers confirmed that Ahmetaj is not in Albania.
