Prime Minister Edi Rama told an episode with a Dutchman, part of the working group sent by the Netherlands after they did not like the report of the European Commission on the integration of Albania.
In a conversation in "De Balie", Rama said that the Dutchman had asked him about Sharia law, adding that Albania was a Muslim country.
The head of the government added that despite the fact that he explained to the person in question that they had nothing to do with the Sheraiti law, he had written the same thing in the article, that Albania had problems because it was a Muslim country.
Rama said that he did not do it out of idiocy, but internal problems of the Netherlands itself.
"We also had some things with the Netherlands. That you didn't like the report of the Commission seemed too complacent, too friendly and they had to send a task force to get information and they waited a few hours and left. But the Balkans are strange. I was in front of one of them and he asked me how you will solve the problem with Sharia law. I told him, sir, we are not a Muslim country because we have never had Sharia law, we are a European country and a model of religious brotherhood, which I, but Pope Francis, said. But this gentleman comes here and writes an article that the problem with Albania is Sharia law. Now is this gentleman an idiot? No, it's not, because I don't want to mention names. He is very intelligent, he is the kind of most intelligent politician that I myself do not want to be, but he does it for internal problems here, to say I don't know what. I mean the Netherlands has a motto of being strict but fair. Holland has put so much pressure on us that I think it's unfair, but it helped us improve and finally our country has improved a lot"- said Rama, among other things.
