The Albanian delegation, led by Prime Minister Rama, has arrived in Brussels for the 8th intergovernmental conference between Albania and the EU. In a statement to the media, the head of government stressed the importance of this moment for Albania.

"It is a very important moment on our path towards membership and a moment for which we have been working hard for a long time and where half of the work for opening negotiations will be closed and the other half for closing will be opened."

"It is very important and clear that there is a need to discuss and it is not a false union, but a real one and to be a member with full rights," said the Prime Minister.

During his speech, the head of government said that Albania, as one of the most pro-European countries, is ready to move forward, as he emphasized that it is not about easy membership.

"It is not about an easy membership, but about a real political union and a path to membership with full rights and along with the necessary reforms. Albania has been 100% in line with EU foreign policy."

"Albania is always ready to move forward without any imagination of momentary satisfaction and we must emphasize that according to the barometer, Albania is one of the most pro-European countries," said the Prime Minister.
