The Socialist Party in Durrës celebrates today the 35th anniversary of its founding through a ceremony where a series of artistic activities were held, speeches were given and awards were also presented.
The opening speech was given by the leader of the Socialist Party of Durrës, Blendi Klosi, who said that "for 35 years, this party has served Albania from the day of its founding to the day of Integration."
According to him, for this reason all socialists should feel proud. Klosi added that with Edi Rama at the helm, the Socialist Party will continue to win "until we take Albania into the EU."
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Rama himself, simultaneously chairman of the Socialist Party, focused on the development of the next Intergovernmental Conference, which will be held on Tuesday, May 26.
"Tomorrow will mark the conclusion of the introductory phase and the opening of the final phase of negotiations for EU membership ," said Rama.
He added that tomorrow's conference is taking place exactly according to the calendar pre-established with the EU, with the shared goal of "closing membership negotiations within 2027!"
According to the Prime Minister, Albania is closer to the European Union than ever before. He even added that there is no other force in the country that has the strength to achieve this.
"Albanians heard what they did not hear from those who do not want to see Albania in the EU, if the Socialist Party of Albania joins Albania in the EU. But, whether those who do not want to or not, the SP will join Albania in the EU! And whether those who do not want to or not, there is no other force in Albania that has the power, will, courage and dedication and, above all, has the vision of the SP ," he added.
Among other things, the head of government shared the news that he will soon have a meeting with German Chancellor Fredrich Merz.
"In a few days, I will bring you, as a greeting, detailed information from the meeting I will have with the Chancellor of Germany. Forgive my vanity, but this is a part that amuses me a little about them, is that they fall for the hook the same way, they don't need bait. They say they've been caught, but they find themselves on the hook ," Rama said, among other things, rejecting the opposition's claims that there is a decline in the Albanian Prime Minister's relations with the German government.
As for the opposition, Rama did not hesitate to compare it to "the remnants of communism in its most important form!"
