The head of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha has made serious accusations again today against Prime Minister Rama for the arrest of the former high official of the FBI in New York, Charles McGonigal, who, among other things, is accused of having received hundreds of thousands euro from an insurance employee in Albania in 2017.

Despite Rama's denial, Berisha claims that the head of the Albanian government is under investigation by the FBI and for this he showed a document.

It is about the following document, where Prime Minister Edi Rama is the only official who is nominally mentioned by name and where it is said that McGonigal's conversations, meetings, trips and contacts with Agron Neza and Rama must be presented to the Court.

"All those who say that it is not under investigation are unscrupulously deceiving. Such an order is investigation, investigation and only. And this order says that I read it in September and I am reading it again:

-Records, documents, materials related to the following,
Any and all records, materials in possession, documenting any personal communication, including but not limited to messages, mobile texts, messages, electronic emails, encrypted messages, voice messages , letters, notes between you and Charles McGonigal regarding points in the following matters: Agron Neza, Lou Bladel- McGonigal's predecessor in several contracts with Edi Rama, the government of the Republic of Albania or any person associated with the government of the Republic of Albania.

Among other things, the democratic leader said that some government ministers have submitted their resignations to Prime Minister Rama because of the meetings with Charles McGonigal.
