SP request to the Assembly: To ratify with an accelerated procedure the
Sweden and Finland in NATO

30 deputies of the Socialist Party have submitted to the Assembly a request to ratify with an accelerated procedure the protocols of the membership of Finland and Sweden in NATO.

The Socialist Party requests that this item be included in the agenda for tomorrow's plenary session.

"Based on articles 28 and 49 of the Rules of the Assembly, a group of more than 28 deputies of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party assessing the importance of the two draft laws brought by the Council of Ministers: "On the Ratification of the Protocol of the North Atlantic Treaty for the accession of the Republic of Finland" and "For the Ratification of the Protocol of the North Atlantic Treaty for the accession of the Kingdom of Sweden" and hoping for the understanding of all the deputies of the Assembly of Albania, propose:

1. Review with an accelerated procedure of the draft laws: "On the Ratification of the Protocol of the North Atlantic Treaty for the accession of the Republic of Finland" and "On the proposal of the draft law "On the Ratification of the Protocol of the North Atlantic Treaty on the accession of the Kingdom of Sweden".

2. Review with an accelerated procedure of the two draft laws by the joint meeting of the National Security Committee and the Foreign Policy Committee, which will take place during the proceedings of the Plenary Session on July 7, 2022, and the report of the responsible committee will be submitted before the review during the Agenda.

3. Changing the Agenda of the Plenary Session of July 7, 2022, including in the agenda as issues for consideration the two draft laws "On the Ratification of the Protocol of the North Atlantic Treaty for the Accession of the Republic of Finland" and "On the Ratification of Protocol of the North Atlantic Treaty for the accession of the Kingdom of Sweden" , states the request of the SP.
