The former democratic deputy Gert Bogdani has formalized his candidacy for the primaries of Tirana on Sunday.

THE FULL WORD

Dear democrats,
Dear fellow citizens of Tirana,
Born and raised in Tirana, in an old Tirana family, with tradition and values, I lived every day with the deepest love and sensitivity for our city.
I have learned to know and love every corner of Tirana and to respect everyone who contributes to Tirana, the Capital of all Albanians.
Unfortunately over the years and especially these last 8 years, Tirana has suffered a severe deformation and has experienced, not only a destruction of heritage and identity, but also a significant deterioration of our daily life as residents of the capital!
There is no resident of Tirana who does not suffer the consequences of the city's mismanagement today!
Starting with children, who have been robbed of their green spaces and playgrounds, to turn them into concrete!
Constructions and concreting without criteria that are taking the breath away every day and more every resident of this city!
Heavy traffic every hour of the day and every day of the week, which steals money and time from citizens;
The polluted air we breathe every day and the noise pollution from the trucks and concrete mixers that have invaded the city.
Destruction of greenery, to plant concrete!
The dirty environment and the bins full of garbage, while the Municipality causes damage and corruptly pays millions of euros for the cleaning and management of waste and incinerators!
The lack of supply and quality of drinking water, where the promise of 24 hours of water a day, has long been an electoral refrain every time there are elections!
Businesses and residents who have no services, but pay higher and higher taxes!
The lack of attention to the needy, the arrogance towards the mothers and fathers who try to make a living as street vendors and the attack on anyone who tries to make an honest living in this city;
A public transport that does not guarantee the minimum conditions, not only of quality, but also of safety;
Lack of parking spaces, unaffordable costs compared to salaries and endless abusive fines that residents wake up to every morning on their car windows!
A city that floods with 12 minutes of summer rains, because money has been thrown, but there is no sewerage;
A city where it is built as if it were the year 2050, but the infrastructure is still the same as in 1950!
The total lack of attention for rural areas, for infrastructure, for services and for the well-being of the residents of these areas, just because they are far from the objective of cameras and propaganda;
The pronounced lack of respect for the law, the arbitrariness and the violation of private property and the well-being of the entire communities of Tirana, starting from the destruction in 5 Maji, Lapraka, Shkoza, Baldushku and Kombinati to the total lack of respect for heritage, tradition and identity of the capital, which culminated in the destruction of the National Theatre!

Contrary to what propaganda tries to show, we live reality every day and reality speaks clearly. It speaks clearly about the urban decadence and the corrupt model that tramples every day more and more the dignity and well-being of each of us!
Today, Tirana is called the capital of youth for the year 2022, but the young people of Tirana do not have water to wash; they do not find hope in a city that does not have any public space for them and that does not give them the opportunity to build a future, because in Tirana it is built only for the oligarchs!
The children and young people of Tirana still go to school in two shifts, because the Municipality gives lek for schools to corrupt concessions. Even when you build a school, the costs are 4 times more expensive than the European Union, because the money that should have been for the children is not invested, but stolen!

Daily problems and troubles, all of us experience them every day in this city,
so the time has come for these problems to be solved!
Today is the time for a real alternative for the good governance of our city!
For a different model and vision!
Tirana needs change more than ever!

Dear friends,
For a long time now, during successive meetings with democrats of every persuasion and in every corner of Tirana, I have heard the call and the energy to tend to this change;
For a long time, during meetings and discussions with citizens of Tirana, I have found the call and support to bring about this change;
For a long time, during consultations and brainstorming with experts, activists and critical voices, I have found the willingness and support to work to make this change possible;

Over the years I have always worked with integrity, with dedication and with concrete alternatives for the problems of the areas that I have represented and managed, either as the Chairman of Municipal Unit 10 in Tirana, or as a deputy of the Assembly of Albania; with energy and vision in bringing innovations and solving community problems.
Therefore, not just as a citizen who comes from an old Tirana family, but above all as a young parent who has decided to build the future of his family, his children, Ajra and Reinart, in this city;
Therefore,
Humbly and resolutely,
With dedication and responsibility,
with dignity and transparency,
with integrity and energy,
with respect for every citizen of Tirana;
I made the decision to run for Mayor of Tirana;

Because I am fully convinced that Tirana still has the opportunity to be a city serving the citizens and not the rulers;

Because I am fully convinced that Tirana still has the potential to become the capital to which young people come to build their future and dream, and not the city from which they flee never to return!

Sepse kam bindjen e plotë se Tirana duhet dhe do të jetë qyteti i të gjithëve, përtej prejardhjes, partisë, besimit, moshës apo gjithçkaje tjetër!
Sepse Tirana më shumë se kurrë, ka nevojë për ndryshim dhe koha për ndryshim është tani!

Shpallja e kandidaturës në këtë proçes primaresh, është zotimi im për të shërbyer me përkushtim dhe përulësi –  për t’i prirë kthesës për ndryshim që Tirana kërkon dhe meriton si metropol i shqiptarëve brenda dhe jashtë vendit.

Për t’i prirë rimëkëmbjes së Tiranës, e cila do të vijë vetëm përmes një vizioni të qartë të bazuar mbi transparencë dhe një programi që në qendër ka dinjitetin dhe mirëqenien e qytetarit.
Një programi që vendos prioritetet e duhura dhe që jetëzohet përmes konsultimit dhe përfshirjes së gjerë të intelektualëve, profesionistëve, krijuesve, aktivistëve, qytetarëve dhe komuniteteve, brenda Shqipërisë dhe në Diasporë – të cilët pushteti i sotshëm u ka mbyllur çdo derë, duke i shtyrë sistematikisht dhe me arrogancë jashtë zhvillimeve dhe projekteve madhore që shënojnë të tashmen dhe të ardhmen e Kryeqytetit.

Një programi që ka në qendër qeverisjen me përkushtim dhe punën e palodhur për të ngritur standartet e shërbimeve për qytetarët dhe lehtësive për sipërmarrjet private dhe profesionistët e lirë!
Një model të ri qeverisjeje i cili mundëson çlirimin e energjive prodhuese dhe krijuese të metropolit të shqiptarëve!
Një përkushtim për t’i kthyer qytetit dhe qytetarëve, dinjitetin që meritojnë!

Ky është një moment vendimtar për të marrë në dorë fatet tona dhe për të bërë ndryshimin, të gjithë bashkë, pa dallim!

Tirana sot ka nevojë për alternativë, për shpresë, ka nevojë për vëmendje dhe respekt ndaj qytetarëve.

Tirana today deserves to be governed with integrity and transparency, with dedication and vision for a better city, because Tirana deserves more, its citizens deserve more!
Therefore, I am confident that all together, democrats and citizens of Tirana, can and will bring about this change!
