The Economy Committee discussed today the normative act of the government that changed the budget at the end of the year, in order to approve the Great Package. The MPs did not object to the content of the changes, but to the fact that the Assembly and its proposals are being ignored.
" I told you in September that you will not be able to realize the expenses. I told you back in December that you will not be able to meet the expenses. Precisely that this would not happen, two days before the new year this act was done and very well. Now here we are and the expenses have not been realized... What does the MP need anymore? When no one listens? ", said Erion Brace.
"We gave this alternative to what you call a big New Year's package, did you say Santa came?" This is money that you benefited from the increase in prices, which should have gone to the citizens faster", said MP Bujar Leskaj.
"The exception to the rule is becoming the rule and this is unacceptable. 50% of state payments are made in December and I don't know what courage the finance minister has who continues with this practice", said Jorida Tabaku.
Deputies of the Economy Committee requested that normality be restored in the implementation of the budget and that it no longer be governed by normative acts. While former Deputy Prime Minister Erion Braçe insisted that farmers should be part of the big package.
The session took place in the absence of the Minister of Finance, despite the request for postponement by the opposition. As 80% of the Great Package has already been distributed to beneficiaries such as administration employees, pensioners and families with economic assistance, the normative act of the government is expected to be formally passed to the Assembly.
While the Economy Committee decided to hold a special hearing session with the Minister of Finance for all unaddressed questions.
