It is no longer a public secret that ministers or leaders of central and local state institutions in Albania use the power granted to them by law for personal purposes...as is the pressure on administration sectors to vote for the head of this sector.
Voxnews is aware of a series of cases of indirect pressure being exerted on teachers, police officers, or leaders of other institutions that are subordinate to persons who are currently on the open list of the Socialist Party in the Tirana District, or even in other districts of the country.
We are also aware of the clashes between socialist candidates on the open list, especially in the Tirana district, where the competition between them for the citizens' vote is even fiercer.
If there is a socialist candidate with relatively large power in the government who on May 11th seeks the votes of citizens not as a ruler, but as an equal candidate among equals, it could without any hesitation be Blendi Gonxhja.
Why?
The reason is simple. In the early days of the Socialists' campaign in Tirana, a veteran Socialist Party deputy in Tirana, who was listed as a candidate on the open list, faced pressure and was 'expelled' from a suburban area of Tirana, where, as Voxnews sources claim , the party's structures, but also those of power, have been placed at the disposal of Ervin Hoxha, Minister of Interior in the current government.

Despite this case confirmed by Voxnews through multiple sources, a completely different example is offered by Blendi Gonxhja, Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation. The example does not come directly from Gonxhja himself, but from his 'rival' on the open list of the Tirana Socialists, Toni Gogu.
The latter has published a short video on social networks, featuring actors from the National Theater (which is directly subordinate to the ministry headed by Blendi Gonxhja) Helidon Fino and Laert Vasili openly expressing support for Toni Gogu.
This shows Gonxha's completely different approach. It shows that unlike what has been denounced so far by the socialist candidates in power, he has not only not guided, but has neither stopped nor put his subordinates under pressure.
