The Partnership Agreement between Albania and the European Union for cooperation in the field of security and defense was signed today in Brussels.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a post on his social network Facebook, has shared footage from the signing of the agreement between the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, and the Minister of Defense, Pirro Vëngu.

"It's a long day and an important day for us, because we have the annual Summit with the European Union. Meanwhile, we woke up with a pleasant feeling that we have already opened another group of chapters. So it's a very good moment, but first of all, I want to take this opportunity to congratulate you on this appointment and tell you that we feel privileged because we have come a long way and you know what it means to be born and raised in a dictatorship, then to fight for freedom and then to fight to build democracy and develop society.

This agreement is important because it is another sign that our bond is inseparable and that we must do our best to strengthen it more and more every day.

I want to express my gratitude to the European Union, to all those who, on behalf of the European Union, are working to push forward this agenda of the full reunification of Europe.

So, thank you and thank you also to everyone and thank you to those who welcomed us! ", said Prime Minister Rama.
