The Democratic Party has filed a request in Parliament to establish an Investigative Commission for the Port of Durres, which will seek verification of legality.

In his speech at the meeting of the DP Parliamentary Group, Sali Berisha   stated that the construction of this port is the greatest act of corruption.

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated that the assets of Dubai's criminal groups will be built there.

"The battle for the Durrës Port Investigation Commission is of extremely great importance. This framework, these decisions for the Durrës Port constitute the largest act of corruption, not only in Albania, but also in the Balkans and Europe. It is very difficult to find a multi-billion affair, such as this, where land and water can cost over 2 billion, where the construction of 12,600 apartments with 6-star hotels, etc., all the wealth of Dubai's criminal groups, with whom, as the investigative journalist, Artan Hoxha, testified, Edi Rama had a special meeting during his visit to Dubai, on the topic of their investments in Durrës. Franc Çopja alone, is said to have transferred 3 billion euros to European banks, I say this figure to understand how limitless their money is", said, among other things, Sali Berishal.

We recall that yesterday (December 17) the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party submitted to the Assembly the request of 39 deputies for the establishment of an investigative commission to control the legality of the approval procedures of the "Durres Marina and Yachts" Project.

The Democrats' request emphasizes that part of the scope of the Parliamentary Committee's investigation should be the sale of the port management concession to the company Schapha doo, and verification of the procedures for the construction of the new Port in Porto Romano is also requested.

“We demand: 1. The establishment of an Investigative Committee of the Assembly to Control the Legality of the Procedures of (i) Approval of the “Durres Marina & Yachts” project; (ii) Sale of the port management concession to the company Schapha doo; and (iii) Construction of the new port in Porto Romano.
