US Embassy message to Sali Berisha: We do not engage with individuals involved
Sali Berisha

The US Embassy in our country has issued a direct message to Sali Berisha.

The American diplomatic headquarters in Tirana, in its reaction, writes that they stand by their position that they do not engage with people involved in corruption.

“ A healthy opposition is a critical part of a vibrant democracy. I appreciate the opportunities I have had in recent months to meet with diverse opposition representatives to hear a variety of perspectives on the challenges facing the Albanian people, concerns about the upcoming electoral environment, and how Albania can build a better future. I urge all parties to engage constructively in a political process that is equitable for all. We stand by our longstanding position that we do not engage with individuals determined to be involved in grand corruption ,” Charge d’Affaires Nancy VanHorn
